Paw Trim
Tidying the foot's outline to a neat, rounded shape.
About Paw Trim
Where the pad trim is about function, the paw trim is about shape — scissoring the hair around the outside of the foot so it looks like a foot rather than a mop.
We comb the hair on top of the foot upward and scissor it back to a clean round, then neaten the edges around the toes. It's the detail that makes a finished groom look properly finished.
Who it's for
- Poodles, doodles, and Bichons
- Feet that have grown out shapeless between grooms
- Any dog getting a hand-scissored finish

* Some coats simply need more time — heavy double coats, dense undercoats, and long silky hair all take extra brushing, drying, and scissoring. These breeds, along with doodles and doodle mixes, are quoted individually based on size, coat condition, and the degree of matting. Call (714) 716-3015 for an exact quote.
Common Questions
Is this the same as the pad trim?
No. The pad trim clears hair from between and underneath the pads; the paw trim shapes the outside of the foot. Most dogs benefit from both.
Does it need doing every groom?
On fast-growing coats, yes — feet grow out visibly faster than the body coat.
