About Nail Grinding (Dremel)
Grinding uses a rotary file to take the nail down in fine passes rather than cutting it in one go. The finish is completely smooth, which means no scratched floors, no snagged furniture, and no sharp edges on your legs.
We take it down in short bursts, resting between them so the nail doesn't heat up. Because it removes material gradually, it also gives more control near the quick than clippers do — useful on dark nails where the quick isn't visible.

Common Questions
Is grinding better than clipping?
Different rather than better. Grinding is smoother and more gradual; clipping is faster. Plenty of dogs get clipped first and ground smooth after.
Does the vibration bother dogs?
Some dogs mind the buzz more than the sensation. We introduce it gradually and stop if a dog is genuinely distressed.
