Cat Brush Out
Removing loose hair and early tangles before they become mats.
About Cat Brush Out
Regular brushing is what keeps a long-haired cat out of a lion cut. It lifts dead hair before the cat swallows it, and catches tangles at the stage where they still comb out.
We work with the coat rather than against it, in short sessions, using tools sized for cats. We pay particular attention to the armpits, belly, and behind the ears — the three places cats can't reach and mats always start.
Who it's for
- Long-haired cats on a regular maintenance schedule
- Cats with frequent hairballs
- Early tangles, before they tighten

* Some coats simply need more time — heavy double coats, dense undercoats, and long silky hair all take extra brushing, drying, and scissoring. These breeds, along with doodles and doodle mixes, are quoted individually based on size, coat condition, and the degree of matting. Call (714) 716-3015 for an exact quote.
Common Questions
How often should a long-haired cat be brushed?
Ideally a little every day at home, with a thorough professional brush out every few weeks.
My cat already has mats — is brushing enough?
If they're loose, sometimes. Tight mats against the skin can't be brushed out comfortably and need clipping.
