Face Trim
A quick tidy of the eyes, muzzle, and beard between full grooms.
About Face Trim
Face hair grows into the eyes long before the body coat needs cutting. A face trim is the in-between appointment that keeps your dog able to see clearly without committing to a whole haircut.
We scissor around the eyes, shape the muzzle and beard, and neaten the ear fringes. It's precise, close work near the eyes, so we take it slowly and stop whenever your dog needs a moment.
Who it's for
- Shih Tzus, Maltese, doodles, and other long-faced coats
- Dogs whose eyes are getting obscured mid-cycle
- Stretching the gap between full grooms

* Some coats simply need more time — heavy double coats, dense undercoats, and long silky hair all take extra brushing, drying, and scissoring. These breeds, along with doodles and doodle mixes, are quoted individually based on size, coat condition, and the degree of matting. Call (714) 716-3015 for an exact quote.
Common Questions
Can you trim close to the eyes safely?
Yes — it's routine work with blunt-nosed scissors and a steady hold. If a dog won't hold still enough to be safe, we'll say so rather than risk it.
Will this help the tear staining?
Trimming the hair helps keep the area drier and cleaner, which reduces buildup, though it won't remove existing staining.
