Ear Hair Removal
Clearing hair from the canal so air can circulate.
About Ear Hair Removal
Some breeds grow hair inside the ear canal itself. Left alone it traps wax and moisture against the eardrum and creates exactly the conditions infections thrive in.
We remove the hair from the canal opening in small amounts. Opinion in the profession genuinely differs on how much to take, so we take a conservative approach — enough to restore airflow, not so much that we irritate the canal lining.
Who it's for

* Some coats simply need more time — heavy double coats, dense undercoats, and long silky hair all take extra brushing, drying, and scissoring. These breeds, along with doodles and doodle mixes, are quoted individually based on size, coat condition, and the degree of matting. Call (714) 716-3015 for an exact quote.
Common Questions
Doesn't plucking hurt?
Done in small amounts on a healthy ear, most dogs barely register it. On a sore or inflamed ear we leave it alone entirely.
My vet says not to pluck ears.
Then we won't — tell us and we'll skip it. Veterinary guidance on your specific dog always outranks our default.
