Ear Cleaning
Clearing wax and moisture from the ear canal — where most infections start.
About Ear Cleaning
Ears are the most common site of infection in dogs, especially floppy-eared breeds where the canal stays warm and damp. Routine cleaning at every groom is the simplest preventive step there is.
We apply a gentle pet-safe ear solution, massage the base of the ear, and wipe the visible canal clean — never probing deep, which does more harm than good. If we see redness, a bad smell, or dark discharge, we'll tell you, because those need a vet rather than a groomer.

* Some coats simply need more time — heavy double coats, dense undercoats, and long silky hair all take extra brushing, drying, and scissoring. These breeds, along with doodles and doodle mixes, are quoted individually based on size, coat condition, and the degree of matting. Call (714) 716-3015 for an exact quote.
Common Questions
Should I use cotton swabs at home?
No. Swabs push debris further in. A vet-recommended solution and a cotton pad on the outer ear is all that's needed between grooms.
What if you find an infection?
We stop and tell you. Cleaning an infected ear can make it worse, and it needs diagnosing properly.
